Tammy Wilson Holt

When I finished high school I struggled for a while to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. Eventually I got a BS in both Biology and Criminal Justice. After taking a few years off to be a full time mom, I decided that I wanted to be an accountant (Was always a nerd). So with the support of my husband and my kids, I went back to school. With 4 children I am so thankful for Colorado Tech University's online program. I have attained my BA and MBA in Accounting. I am currently working on my PHD. I would be a professional student if it paid a little better. I work for a CPA firm in Birmingham and I own a tax prep business in Locust Fork, Alabama. My children are my heart. Tyler is 12, Lyndsey and Madalyn are 10, and Timothy (Peanut) is 7. During the spring I can be found at either the baseball or softball fields. In the fall I'm in the football stadium watching my boys play ball and my girls cheer. In what spare time I do have I love to ride motorcycles and spend time with my family.
When I turned 18, I left my parents religion (Jehovah's Witness). Had to search long and hard to figure out what was the "truth."
Its funny how ones priorities change as we get older. When we lived in Stewartville, I could not wait to move to Sylacauga. Cable TV and Pizza delivery. Once I had my children, I could not wait to get back to the country. Five years ago I met and married Terrell. We moved to Locust Fork, Alabama. It is so much like Stewartville. The kids can go out in the yard and play and I don't have to constantly worry. I learned to appreciate small town life. The school that my kids go to is K - 12 in one building. Everyone knows everyone. I have learned to appreciate the "simple" things.
