Today's Featured Biography
Lynda McBroom McBroom
Sixtyish years since graduation - it hardly seems possible! After graduating I immediately married, oops. When things didn’t work (except for the glad addition to the world of my daughter, Shawn), she and I left Anchorage for San Francisco and here I have remained ever since landing in that big plane in the early 70s. Living in, and as a part of, the San Francisco scene has been hectic, delightful, more than fun, an adventure and simply glorious. I’m not sure I would relocate to any other part of the world without putting up a pretty decent fight . . .
During my time in the Bay area I graduated from college, had opportunities to work in my chosen field of management and procurement working with various Federal agencies and later as consultant to Federal agencies across the U.S. Could have transferred to Washington D.C. but elected to stay in the Bay area. I finally retired from my formal jobs a couple of years ago but have continued with my first love – music.
I’ve been a member of the Sweet Adeline’s International Women’s Barbershop organization for years, performing and competing in California, Nevada and International competitions, and although not a soloist I thoroughly enjoy singing with the groups and in the quartets. I recently attended the International competition in New Orleans – what a time. Due to the pandemic missed the 2020 international competition in Louisville, Kentucky, but look forward to visiting London for the next one – hopefully 2021, 2022(?).
Signing off
"People haven't always been there for me, but music always has.
Taylor Swift”

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
