Today's Featured Biography
Vanessa Van Amburg Haberman
Well, I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2001 with my BS in Design (which is issued by the college of Architecture). For a little while I worked at Alltel Communications in the DSL technical support department. In August of 2002, my boyfriend cory, who I had been dating for a little over a year, took a job working for the US Army Corps of Engineers in Rock Island Illinois. He asked if I would move out here with him, and since I hated my job, I said yes. After a few weeks of doing nothing, I decided to send out my resume to the local Architecture firms. I mailed them on Monday, get a call Tuesday around noon, had an interview that day, was offered a job on Friday and started on tuesday. I have now been working there for two years.
In May of 2004, Cory asked me to marry him, after three years of dating, and I said yes. We were married April 9, 2005. We live in Davenport, Iowa with three cats: Gracie, Max and Stubby.
Update July 29, 2008:
We now have a son who is 16 months old. He was born March 14th, 2007, and he is the best kid ever.
