Today's Featured Biography
Gayla Seward Clarkin
Went to Washington State University after graduation from 1979 through 1982. I married my high school sweetie, Tom Clarkin, in June of 1982. Tom graduated from Upper Heyford in 1980. We have been married for 23 years, have two wonderful children...blonde like me...my son has blue eyes and freckles and my daughter has brown eyes and not one freckle. Tom just retired from the Air Force and now works at a hospital downtown. I am a Budget/Cost Analyst working for the Department of Defense as a civil servent for the past 23 years. When Tom and I were married, he was stationed at Lakenheath, England where our son was born. After four years there, we moved to Chicksands, England where our daughter was born (actually she was born in the Upper Heyford hospital because Chicksands was just a clinic), and we stayed there for four more year. We then moved to Wichita Fall, Tx in 1990. We have been here ever since...except for 4.5 years when Tom was stationed in Oklahoma. We decided that he would commute on the weekends and the family would stay in Wichita Falls because of my job because we didn't want to have to move the kids out of their schools. We had a house built in 1996 and we have two more payments before we will own it out-right. Hip, hip, hooray! :-) Life has been good for us...we have had some tears but lots of laughter! We get back to England quite often, as Tom's family live in England (they are actually from Belfast, N. Ireland, but live in England due to the "troubles"). Tom always goes to England twice a year...usually with one of the kids...I get back about every year or so. The school, of course, is closed but still looks like the same ole school. I hope I summed that up pretty well...of course there is lots more to tell, but you would fall asleep reading it all. We would love to hear from any of our friends from those wonderful days.
