Wow, where to begin. I married my high school sweetheart, Gary in 1973. God blessed us with a beautiful daughter the next year, and then 4 years later another one, and three years later another one. Gary didn't have much chance with four of us around. But he survived. All three girls are married and each have two children. So let's see, that makes six grands, 2 boys and 4 girls. Still got the guys outnumbered. Our oldest daughter, Debra lives in Tyler, Texas with her hubby, Chris and children, Camron 15 and Megan 13. Debra is the assistant director of nursing at a nursing home in Tyler. Lisa lives in Latexo, Texas with her hubby, Jason and two beautiful girls, Sarah, 9 and Madison, 4. Lisa is the manager of a finance company in Crockett. Laura and her hubby Pedro, live in Latexo and have two children, Manuel (Mannie), 5 and Alejandra (Alexie or Ettha), 4. Laura is going to cosmetology school. Everyone is doing great.

Now for me and Gary. Well, 5 years ago God called us into missions. We quit our jobs, sold our truck and car, distributed out our possessions, and headed to Virginia for training. On November 24, 2004, we flew to the beautiful Caribbean island of Trinidad. We work with a very difficult people here on the island. God has blessed our time here with wonderful friends and the opportunity to spread the Gospel to the people. Our time is coming to a close here on November 23, 2007 (government regulations of three years) and we will leave to go back to the states. But only for a short time. On January 15, 2008 we will go to Vancouver, Canada for a temporary assignment of eight months. Then we travel again in September back to the states for six months. April 1, 2009 we have plans to travel back to Trinidad for another three year term. Boy, I'm tired just thinking about it. and all this in the last five years.

Before that I was a project manager at Publications Company in Crockett. We did the management of books for the big publishing companies in the country. So all my work on the Beacon paid off. Gary work for many years in the insurance business. He was also in the ministry at several churches. This included the youth ministry for 20 years. Needless to say, God is a very important part of our lives. We have both changed so much from our high school days. I, for one, am not the shy and quiet girl from HS. I finally found my voice. Gary, well let's just say, a little less on top. But from looking at the slides, there is a lot less on top for many of the guys. And not to leave the gals out, some of us found some extra pounds. Ouch! While some of you still look thin and sleek, GRRRRR.

Well here is an update. We are back in the states in Tyler. We will be here until March 31, 2009. Our time in Canada was spectacular. I wouldn't mind living there. Hope that everyone survived Hurricane Ike. I don't wnat to go through that again! Let's hear some stories.

We are back in Trinidad. Don't know how much longer we will serve here. Wherever He leads, we will follow.

Well another update...we are now living in Rome, Italy! Wow, what an experience! We are learning Italian, well at least trying to! Keep updated with us and we will with you. Ciao! Oh yes, most importantly, we are great grandparents! Brayden Michael Thomasson was born August 27, 2013 and Cheyenne Leigh Franks was born Oct. 23, 2013.
