Since graduation from High School, I continued my early career in the grocery business. This was until 1978 I started an airline career with United Airlines in customer service at Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Unfortunately, I was furloughed from this job in April of 1981 but continued employment with United Airlines in November of 1982 in Detroit, Michigan, in the airlines' reservations department. In the fall of 1987 I transferred from Detroit, Michigan to Chicago, Illinois where I then went back to customer service at Chicago O'Hare Airport. There I was a gate agent. I proceeded to do that job until 2006 when I again transferred out of customer service to the flight attendant training department at O'Hare. There, through the end of my career in 2020 I was classified as an Emergency Procedures Instructor. What this job entails is safety training for United flight attendants. It is to teach them procedures for emergency situations onboard aircraft. I have been happily retired for the last 5 years.
