Today's Featured Biography
Janice Mt Pleasant
After graduation I spent two years at a small college in Pennsylvania before transferring to The American University of Beirut, where I received a BA in English Language and Linguistics in 1968. Upon returning to the U.S. the following year, I took a position at Onondaga Community College for awhile but then joined the Peace Corps . . . a short-lived endeavor.
Moving to the Washington, DC area in the early 70s, I eventually settled in Arlington, VA, married, and raised two children. Over the years, I’ve held a number of different positions, none of which had anything to do with my degree, but all of which prepared me for the job I hold now as Office Administrator for the Pew Center on Global Climate Change. I love my job and take enormous satisfaction in being able to support the work of an organization that has been at the forefront of promoting international awareness about global warming and proposing policies and solutions to address it.
With our children grown, my husband and I are enjoying our empty nest and finding time to travel, by motorcycles no less, around this amazing country of ours. Retirement is still a distant option, mostly because we both like our jobs, but also because we enjoy having money to do the things that we couldn’t afford to do while raising children

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
