Today's Featured Biography
Michelle Willette
After high school, I went to UNCW for a while and was accepted into the college program at Walt Disney World where I worked for about 3 months. After going back to Wilmington when I was done at Disney, we moved to Houston in 1988. I enrolled at the Art Institute of Houston and graduated in 1990. I stayed in Houston until 1995 and then moved with my husband (now ex) to Arizona where my daughter was born. After a stint in Austin and again in Arizona, I got a divorce and got back to Houston ASAP in 1998. I loved living in Houston, my son was born there, but in 2002 I made the decision to move here to Alabama with my mother. In 2004, I took my kids and moved to Massachusetts - that was an experience! I'm glad I did it though - they experienced snow and many more things and people that they would have never seen in the south. We came back down here in 2005.
I am now proud to report that Dylan is in the 2nd grade and in his second year playing football. Cydney is in the 7th grade, is now in the high school band and had her first experience with marching not too long ago. She is following in her ol' mother's footsteps in becoming a band geek - God help her, she has chosen to play the trumpet. Where did I go wrong?? Oh well. We live a simple life here in the deep south. I work for 2 local newspapers and write a column for The Florala News, but most of my work involves raising my 2 kids. God help ME...tis very rewarding, but the hours are long. Who ever said being an adult was easy??? Oh wait a minute...I haven't grown up yet...
