Sybil Stanley Barrett

Hey fellow Greenwaves! I graduated from UNC-Greensboro and worked at the Gaston County Dept. of Social Services for 18 years. After losing a child to cancer and adopting a child from China, I decided to take a leave of absence and be a stay-at home mama. I married the man of my dreams, Eddie, in 1985 (even though he is a Husky and 49er graduate!) and we have 2 children. Daniel graduates this year from Forestview and Lilly attends Gaston Christian and will be a 2nd grader in the Fall. I started working at Grier last year and continue there in the Exceptional Children's dept.-yes, the cafeteria still sucks- I will take a grad course at UNCC this summer to see if I want to pursue a Master's in Special Ed. My husband has gotten me into tennis (wish I had started it in high school) and a little golf, which also sucks, and I love my garden and teaching Lilly how to cook. We spend alot of time at the family house at N. Myrtle Beach, and hope to sell our mtn. property soon to re-invest at the beach-if you want a nice 3 acres in a gated mtn. community in Marion, NC, CALL ME!!! WE'RE DEALIN'! Great to hear from you guys, and hope to share old stories at the reunion.
