Alan Ellinger

Well, after high school, I spent a few years serving in the military. Going from Georgia to Panama, back to Georgia, and then to Texas where I met my soon to be wife.
I left the military and went back to school in TX at UMHB. After school, I taught history and government, and coached for ten years before deciding it was time for a change.
I went back to work on my masters at Tarleton State and then went to work as an assistant principal at a small high school for four years in the Waco, TX area.
This past year I decided I wanted to move to a larger school, so now I am at a school south of Houston, TX ( 15 miles from the beach), still as an assistant principal.
In the mean time, I had three great sons, Kyle (17), Ryan (13), and Cody (9).
I have been thinking about coming home, I interviewed with Gaston County Schools all last spring before deciding to come to Houston. I do look forward to seeing everyone next October!!
