Mike Langill
I'm "kindasorta" a Class of 57 classmate. I attended grades K-11 in Ottumwa; Lincoln elementary, Washington Jr.Hi. and grades 10-11 at OHS. My dad, a Deere executive was transfered to Des Moines my senior year which I finished at Roosevelt H.S. Even though I didn't graduate with the OHS Class of 57 I feel much more a part of that class than my Roosevelt class.
In August 1959 I married Marti. Married almost 48 years now and looking forward to our 50th wedding anniversary.
After graduating from Iowa State in 1963 I went to work for John Deere at their Harvester Works in East Moline, IL. During my Deere career, I also worked at Deere's Des Moines Works, San Francisco Branch, Plow-Planter Works (Moline, IL), and Deere's World Wide Headquartere (Moline, IL)where I retired in 1999 as Mgr., Logistics for Corporate Supply Mgmnt. I also worked 5 years at JI Case, Rock Island,IL factory.
Enjoying retirement spending summers at our Hayward, WI lakeside cabin, fishing, traveling and motorcycling. And recently we have been wintering in Arizona
