Today's Featured Biography
Donna Grant Beno
Five years can hold a lot of changes in a persons life. Some good. Some Bad. Some extremely difficult. But, we continue to look forward. I am now bionic. Yes, I now have two "souped up" titanium hips. They are serving me well. I don't think I can do a back flip, though. I'll leave that to the kids who graduated in 1963.
David and I have set off on a new adventure. Scary, what old people do these days. We have semi-retired to a lovely community in Prescott Valley, Arizona, called Stone Ridge. The sky and the light there lift us up. There is no smog. There are a lot of California retirees. We are living close to our daughter, Amanda. We have gotten to know a great group of people who loved us and guided us through the tragic death of Amanda's husband, Eric and his 18 Granite Mountain Hot Shot Crew on June, 30, 2013. We have discovered that happiness can be resurrected out of the ashes of grief and joy is a choice. A hard fought choice, but a choice non the less.
Amanda has met a wonderful man and became engaged in December. We look forward to watching their relationship grow and blossom.
Our choice to move to Arizona also carries some sadness. Our son Adam and our Grand kids, Elle (16) and Garrett (13) still live in the Chino area. We are looking forward to them visiting for long periods of time, but it will not be the same as running in to say "hi" and get a hug.
We are also going to miss the many friends we told dear to our hearts. We have heard that "If God leads you to it, He will lead you through it: We have to have faith and trust.
We travel back and forth between Arizona and California because David still has his Real Estate Brokerage business. It's good that he is busy. Gives me time to try new things. What do you think about "tap" dancing?
My hope is that many of you will attend our 55th class reunion. God willing, David and I will be there. Until then, peace and love.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
