Jeanne Griffin Sewell

I've never managed to leave Chino; still in the first house we ever bought! But the good news is it's paid for! I'm currently redecorating the house to bring a bit of the beach to Chino. My inspiration is my oceanfront condo in Oceanside because I'm usually too busy to get there very often.

I was happily married to Richard Sewell, who passed away in 1997 while he was the Fire Chief of San Bernardino County. We married in 1965 and had 32 great years together.

Like Jane Pratt, I also work for Chino Valley Unified as the district secretary for the GATE program - that stands for Gifted and Talented Education. I'm looking forward to retiring mid-Dec. and have plans to finally do all things I didn't have time for while working. Until I retire you can also reach me at: jeanne_sewell@chino.k12.ca.us

My family includes Mark (35) who lives locally, and my grandson Alex who will be a Freshman at Ayala High. Julie (31) and her husband Chris have two pre-schoolers - Gregory and Hannah - in Atlanta, GA, (which gives me four great reasons to travel often.)

I'm still the church organist/choir director at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Chino (which I've done, off and on, since 1963) and in addition to finding a "fun" part-time job perhaps at Disneyland, or See's Candy, or Borders, I plan to return to school to earn an elusive degree that was never completed.

Currently, I share my house with two dogs, Shadow, and Kay-Nyne, who do a great job of keeping me company. I have also kept in touch with some of our classmates at the school district and around town.

Never a dull moment...
