Boat- Carnival Inspiration
A graceful, gilded 50-foot sculpture catches your attention as you enter the seven-deck Grand Atrium aboard the Carnival Inspiration. Designed to inspire, this ship features bars and lounges with an art nouveau theme, such as the Café des Artistes and the Avant-Garde Lounge. The Rock 'N Roll dance club has a guitar-shaped dance floor and hundreds of video monitors, the softly lit Candlelight Lounge provides an intimate setting for various entertaining acts such as Punchliners Comedy Club, and the Rhapsody in Blue piano bar always attracts a lively crowd for sing-alongs. When it’s time to relax, Spa Carnival will soothe your mind and body with a variety of spa treatments. Out on deck, guests can lounge by a resort-style pool, splash around at Carnival WaterWorks aqua park, or practice their putting skills on the nine-hole mini-golf course. The Inspiration also features an adults-only “Serenity” area that offers bar service, ocean vistas and whirlpools for relaxation. At meal time, the Inspiration offers a nice selection of dining venues, including a casual bar and grill, pizzeria and two main dining rooms. Staterooms feature high-thread-count linens and duvet, custom pillows, fine cotton towels, terry cloth robes and 24-hour room service.

Cost- We have a guarantee of these prices until March 1, 2017. After that, anyone can still book, but at the prevailing rate. The final payment is due August 7, 2017. If someone books and needs to cancel, they may do so and receive a refund of their full down payment until 8/7/2017.
    Interior Cabin- 4B- $592.60 (double), $505.30 (single)
Ocean View Cabin- 6B- $672.60 (double), $585.30 (single)

All prices are based on double occupancy so that is how the website is set up. If you want to travel alone, you will have to pay for the whole cabin minus the taxes for the 2nd person. Anyone wanting to book single cabins or triple and quad cabins must call Todd Proctor directly to book the cruise over the phone. (800-338-4962 ext. 7050)
You can book a cabin with $300 deposit, with balance due in August. The deposit is fully refundable up to 75-days prior to the cruise.

What's Included
Your cruise price includes your cabin, port fees, taxes, most meals and entertainment, parties and transportation between the ports on your itinerary. On most ships, alcoholic beverages and sodas, as well as optional shore excursions are not included.

Cabin Location
Booking as a group does not guarantee the cruise line will assign every cabin in the same location of the ship for the entire group. Every attempt will be made by the cruise line to keep cabins close together, but based on the size of your group and availability on the ship, this is not always feasible. Cabins may be spread out on the same deck, or located on different decks.

Gratuities
Carnival cruise line automatically charges gratuities to your onboard account. This amount covers gratuities for your cabin steward and dining room staff, but not additional service charges that apply to bar drinks, spa treatments, shore excursion staff, etc. The amount can be adjusted onboard according to quality of service received.

Dress Codes
Shipboard dress is casual during the day. Shorts and tasteful T-shirts are acceptable even in the dining room. At dinner shorts and t-shirts are not allowed and dress on informal nights is resort casual. There is 1 formal night on your Carnival cruise.
•    Casual: Slacks and sport shirt for men (no jeans); slacks and blouse, sundress or pantsuit for women.
•    Informal: Jacket with or without tie for men; dress or pantsuit for women.
•    Formal: Dark suit or tuxedo for men; evening gown or cocktail dress for women.

Add’l info from Suzi Remond Faulkner (’67 Class cruise coordinator):

The group rate is good until March 1, 2017. Thereafter, anyone can book the cruise at the prevailing rate at the time of their booking.

Anyone booking a single cabin, must contact Todd direct, as the website is not conducive to other than double occupancy. Should anyone wish to add a third or fourth person to their cabin, must also contact Todd to schedule those arrangements.

To clarify dress code: Tasteful shorts and T-shirts are permitted in the dining room for breakfast and lunch. For informal nights (dinner), men do not need to wear jackets in to the dinning room. A nice shirt and slacks is sufficient. Women do not need a pantsuit. For informal nights, my suggestion is what one would wear to church or out to a nice restaurant for dinner. Formal nights, the attire would be that of a wedding.....it doesn't need to be a dark suit, just a suit and women may wear any type of cocktail type attire (including "dressy" pants and a "glittery" top.

Additional Perks: Each booking will receive an on-board voucher in the amount of $25 and a bottle of wine per cabin. Once we have five cabins booked, the ship and VTG will host a one-hour cocktail party for our group.

Today's Featured Biography

Terry Matheny

Ok, for those who are interested. After graduation I attended Arizona Western for a year. I was being considered for a scholarship to the U of A to play baseball but the draft was getting close. I enlisted in the Air Force instead. I eventually spent 20 years in the Air Force and enjoyed MOST of it. I married my first wife Barbara (college sweetheart)just after enlistment.

The Air Force gave me a chance to see the world almost free of charge. I was first stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson. From there I went various places but wound up in Turkey for two years. Directly from there I was sent to England, I was there from 1976-1981. I had the time of my life. I love history and you can't get much more historical than England! While there I traveled all over Europe and as far as Russia. I was able to play lots of sports and even got to attend some classes at Cambridge University (only about 10 miles from where I was stationed). I was divorced, eh, it happens.
My last four years were a little more settled. I was made NCOIC of the ROTC detachment at California State University Sacramento. I was there for my remaining four years in the military. I enjoyed working with the young cadets very much. Of course many of those students are now facing their OWN retirements...yeeeesh what a thought.

While in Sacramento I met my current wife, Jeanette. She had a small son (Aaron). I took an interest in Aaron's sporting life. Helped coach when and where I could. Never missed any of his High School or College (he went to Sonoma State)football games. He is now a Special Education teacher and a coach at one of the areas most storied High School Programs. I still help out. In fact most Friday nights you can still spot me "up in the booth", calling out offensive tendencies or watching defensive adjustments.

I did finish my degrees...and, who knew...discovered I was an artist. I have had my own business since 1990 concerning that art. I am not your typical artist...but if any of you want to know what I do...send me an email...I will gladly tell/show you! I am now totally retired, as is my wife!

We have two grand-children, Troy 7 and Grant 2.
