Pat Riley
Graduated Arizona Western College 1969; Arizona State University 1971 (BA Education) & 1972 (MA Education); Northern Arizona University 1989 (Educational Administration).
Married since 1978 to Carol (Pulda). My son Kevin is a high school assistant principal in KC; Amy is married to an active duty Marine; Pat Jr. graduated from U of A and works for Green Valley Farm Supply in Yuma. I have seven grandkids: Kennedy; Keagan; Tailor; Logan; Kale; Jackson; and Cotton. Tailor enlisted in the Army after graduation in June 2020.
Employed by Crane School District 1972-2015. Taught 8th grade social studies 25 years, Assistant Principal at Crane Middle School 5 years, Principal of Centennial Middle School 3 years, and 10 years as the District Director of Academic Support/Federal Programs. Employed by the district for 43 years upon retirement. Carol also worked for Crane in the HR Dept. and retired in October 2019.
Much of my time now involves the Elks. I have been active in Yuma Elks Lodge #476 and on a district, state, and national level since 1971; have been a member over 50 years. I serve as the Yuma scholarship chairman and ritual coach. I coached the Yuma Ritual Team to the AZ State Ritual Team Championship in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2017. I have served as Exalted Ruler of Yuma Lodge; elected Elk of the Year; served as the District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler; Arizona Elks Association State Ritual Chairman; State Chaplain; State Vice-President; and currently am a member of the Grand Lodge Ritual Committee representing Area 7.
After completing the City of Yuma Leadership Academy I was appointed to the Yuma County Library Board of Trustees in 2016 and served as President for many years. My wife and I are big Arizona Diamondback, Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Suns, and Arizona State University fans. I love to read and watch movies.
I moved to Tempe for three years to attend ASU but otherwise have always lived in Yuma. I have attended every class reunion and help as needed. I run into classmates occasionally around town which is very special.
