Today's Featured Biography
Jean Barker Harris
For 19 years after graduation,I lived in El Dorado. I was married to Clifton Barker,had 3 children and worked at Parson's Hardware and National Bank of Commerce. In 1979,I was single again and moved to Dallas. When I married my current husband,Jim Harris,we added another child to my 3 and his 3,so I now have 7 children,18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
From my first job as a bookkeeper at Parson's Hardware until now,I have worked in the world of numbers. I am currently the Accounting Manager of a small division of a world wide software company.
I love to sew and make gift baskets. Mostly I sew for the grandchildren - baby gifts,doll clothes, bedding and even prom dresses. I do sew and make gift baskets as a business also.
I still have family in El Dorado,so I visit as often as I can and while I am there,I always eat Spudnuts, of course!
