If so, it's not just Uncle Sam who wants you. I want you...to send in your information and pictures so that we can honor you here on this page for all that you do to make the world a safer place for all of us...all around the world and here at home.

5/26/2007 REUNION JOKE
A man and his wife were sitting at a table at his high school reunion. He kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table.
The man's wife asked, "D

I will try to keep this as short as possible, but 35 years is kind of hard to keep short. Laugh
After High School I married Lynell M. Bailey from Huntington in 1978, we had a son, Robert Wesley, that same year.
I knocked around in a few jobs, then got the bright idea to join the Navy. The recruiter informed me that my ASFAB scores were so high that I could go to any school I wanted. Well I decided to go to Corps School, thinking I would work in a hospital. After graduating Corps School, 2nd in my class; I know, unusual for me right? I was informed that I could go to a C school. I said, "What choices do I have?" The answer was "none". I found myself in Camp Lejeune, training with the Marine Corps.
After graduating from FMF school in Lejeune, I was attached to the Marine Corps as a Corpsman, then sent on for another school, this time Urban Warfare. Whew! What did I get myself into? I was then attached to an Urban Warfare Specialty Team.
I spent my whole career with the Marines. I actually loved it. I got to see all kinds of wonderful places like Bosnia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Kosova; along with several other places I don't even know the name of.
I won't bore you with all the details. Let's just say that there is nothing that I haven't seen or been involved in with the Military.
I spent 24 years total active duty, Reserves and Individual Ready Reserves. When I finally got out, I was a Chief Petty Officer. And yes for those who will ask, I have been in combat several times. And no I do not answer the other question everyone asks.
I have two Associates Degrees and two Technical Degrees, which I received from various schools. All having to do with the medical field, one in nursing.
During my Reserve and IRR time I worked as a nurse, first at River Park then at the VA Hospital, where I am retired from.
I have a disability retirement from the Military, with several things wrong with me mostly due to CBR exposure.
I lost my mother in 1981 and my father in 1987. The most devastating is the loss of our son, Robert, in 2006, which the FBI is still investigating. His cause of death was undetermined and under suspicious circumstances. He gave us two beautiful grandsons, twins - Bradley and Brenton. They are 5 now, but we haven't seen them in well over a year. Their mother will not let us see them.
I am a published poet and writer, having published some articles in the ANA. I have poems in several books and mags, as well as short stories in some mags. I also have articles published on the net.
Well I have bored you enough so I will quit here. If you want to know anything else about me or mine email me at [email protected] or [email protected].
