My husband and I have been living in Southport,NC for 10 years.Southport is located south of Wilmington N.C. and north of Myrtle Beach, S.C. After building our home several years ago, both of us have been enjoying travelling, playing golf, tennis, walking, and reading. We've met many people who have come here from all parts of the country. There are quite a few people from Michigan, but most of them have migrated here from the east coast.
I am an avid tennis player and am currently on a Senior USTA tennis team. We play teams from around the area which includes Wilmington,N.C. I don't travel to Michigan anymore as my parents are now gone, and my brothers and sisters live all over the country. I do miss my beautiful Marshall where I grew up. I have nothing but very fond and cherished memories of this very special town.
Our six children and twelve grands keep us very busy! I don't think twelve will be the final number, but that remains to be seen. We have three daughters in Indianapolis,IN one daughter in Dos Palos,CA and another in Columbus, Oh. We have one son living in Long Beach, Ca. All are married except for our youngest daughter. We just experienced a five inch snowfall here last week. It was a very freaky event, but the weather has been crazy all over the US this winter. It was quite beautiful for a day as it paralyzed all of NC. We had to laugh because in MI it would have been more like the norm.
I'm hoping to make it to our 50th reunion in Sept. to see my friends and classmates.
