Today's Featured Biography
janon Furlong Furlong
Bill and I are both retired -- I worked at Baxter Healthcare for 17 years, and Bill owned a Graphic Arts/Production Company in Chicago. In 2008, we moved from Sarasota, FL, to The Northwoods of Wisconsin. It's so beautiful here! We miss our Florida friends, but we visit them every winter. The best of both worlds!
My son, Scott, lives in Sandy, Utah, just outside of Salt Lake City, and manages a ski shop in Alta. He's a fine young man. Scott and his wife, Whitney, welcomed their first child, Althea, last summer. Althea is growing like a weed. The wlcomed second daughter, Maeve, in January, 2019. Both girls ski already! Daughter, Jill, moved to Dublin, Ireland in 2003, where she lived and worked for seven years. Jill was married to Eddie, a fine Irishman, in the summer of 2011 in Dublin, and they have two children, Amelia (2012) and Killian (2014). They live in Malmo, Sweden, where Eddie, an engineer, is working on a huge mass-transit project in Copenhagen, just across the Straights. Being a Grandma is The Best! Jill and Eddie moved to Evanston in the summer of 2018, and Eddie takes care of the children, while Jill works. Bill died in January, 2020, and I moved to Glenview to be closer to family and friends.
Bill had three children, all of whom live in or around Chicago. (A big draw for us to move back to The Midwest) Bill has four grandchildren; Charlie, Gabrielle, Nicholas, and Mason.(another big draw). I have seen very little of any of these folks since Bill's passing.
In 2008, I finally did something I had been thinking about since my divorce over 25 years ago. I went to court and took back my maiden name. I was encouraged by visits to The Olde Sod in Ireland, my grandparent's ancestral home, and by meeting long-lost relatives. I guess I Am, and Always Have Been, A Furlong At Heart.
The last reunion was great. It's always so nice to see old friends and to meet new ones. We sure had a great class, and we all still look FABULOUS!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
