Brother, where to I start. Guess the career stuff is good - sorta like talking about the weather.
I became an LVN in 1981 and worked in the health care field until 1989, when I finished the paralegal program at SSU in 1989. Since then, I've had numerous jobs, some interesting, some not, in the legal field. A regular Erin Brokovich. However, having grown sick of making my attorneys look good and smart and RICH, I have returned to school part time to complete my RN degree. Sooo, I work and go to school. I have a ranch (240 acres) and raise a few cows. Have 4 horses, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a various assortment of chickens.
My oldest daughter just graduated from our local university and got a full scholarship at Bloomington, ID for her PhD. She's got twins girls, age 4, and my youngest is a cosmetologist w/3 boys, ages 3,6, 7.
My favorite thing in the world is to play
with my grandkids. I don't recall my kids being this fun but than again, I raised them alone.
Life is good and is going way too fast.
Although our family moved around a lot and I was only at PHS 1.5 yr., I have some great memories. For instance, the time Mike O'dell let me drive his dad's cool car and I went 130 mph in it down the freeway! The look on his face, which I saw in the rearview mirror, was priceless!! Also, the time when Amy V. took one of those A-frame county street signs with the blinking light on it to her bedroom. She thought it'd be cool but when it came time for her to sleep, she couldn't because of the light. She threw the whole thing out her 2nd story bedroom window and it lay in a shattered heap on the front lawn. The light, however, continued to blink. There was also the time that Carol K's sister decided to condition her hair with vasoline - she ran around with a scarf on her head for weeks. It was too funny!
