2016 - Class Web Site Award |

Our web site has had over 30,000 visits! And a large part of that number is due to the efforts of the G-Man, alias Gary Henline. Through his efforts by commenting each day about the featured classmate as well as reminding everyone of the upcoming special 50th Reunion, he has contributed immensely to the successful continuation of our web site. He has contributed many stories, poems and other zany writings--all of which brought smiles and hearty laughter to all of us readers.
G-Man's award has the TVHS mascot, the mighty Bulldog, showcasing the great performing G-Man. G-Man's efforts resemble those of the tenacious Bulldog as well as other K9s! The tireless pursuit of classmates to contribute comments to the web site and attend this 50th Reunion reminds me of the persistence of the fabled mountain coon hound. Never giving up the chase until the coon, classmate in this case, is left with only very few options. And always being loyal to memories and cherished friendships of Tygarts Valley High School he is like the 'ole farm collie'.
It has taken a special individual to continuously inform and entertain us through our class web site. G-Man is that special person,

Today's Featured Biography
Marvella Cutright-Currence
I attended a one-room school, 1st through 6th grades, just down the road from my home. In the seventh grade, I went to Tygarts Valley and graduated there.
I married Reuben Currence, and we have two children, Marquetta and Eddie. We live in Huttonsville and have all our married lives, 46 years!!!
In 1969, I went to work for Family Health Service, when it first started, and worked for two years. In l974, January 2, I went to work at the Bank of Mill Creek. In 1992 our bank merged with First National Bank of Parsons, and we became Mountain Valley Bank. I am a bookkeeper and teller.
Our daughter, Marquetta has two children, Heather and Ben. She works at the Mill Creek Dairy Bar. Heather is a senior at Wesleyan College, majoring in nursing. Ben is a senior at Tygarts Valley High School and will graduate this year. He plans to attend Wesleyan in the Fall.
Eddie is married to Jennie Shiflett, and they have two children, Evan and Zack. Evan is a 6th grader at Tygarts Valley Middle School. Zack is a 2nd grader at George Ward. They are both very active in sports.
Eddie is an electrician and works for Tri County Electric in Morgantown.
Reuben and I are members of the Tygart Valley Baptist Church in Beverly. Rueben and Eddie serve as Trustees and I serve as Secretary. We have been members there since 1982 and love our church family. God has been very good to us!
