Today's Featured Biography
Joseph Accardi
Upon graduating from Notre Dame and attending grad school at UW-Madison, I became a professional librarian and information technologist. My career spanned virtually every position in academic, public and special libraries from reference to media specialist, public library director to associate university librarian, and director of academic computing to dean of learning resources & instructional technology. I authored Beloit’s Club Pop House (Arcadia Publishing, 2008), a photographic history of our favorite high school hangout. If you’re on Facebook, check out one of the special interest pages I administer, Wisconsin Garage Bands 1960s or Wisconsin Rock Concerts 60s and 70s. Sylvia and I are celebrating 32 years together. We moved recently to Asheville, NC where we are enjoying the mountains, music, restaurants and craft breweries. Sylvia creates macrame hangings and I volunteer for a community radio station.
