Taigen RIGGS
I look forward to meeting so many of you at the reunion.
Still teaching, or at least trying to. I’m also trying to stay healthy since my 5-way bypass. My family is doing all right I suppose. Actually, they, my wife Barbara Diane, my daughter Tessa Baldwin, and my son Bill, are quite well considering the many ruts in the road that we went over this year. It seems that a bright sunny day is right around the horizon. I am looking forward to basking my face in the rays.
What has been keeping me off the streets has been my book project, "Dead Aft to the Wind." It's a novel set in the late 1700's and beyond and is about a young man who is trying to find his way in the world when he lost both his parents at an early age. He eventually ends up with a captain of a tall ship and it is there where his adventure begins. I had fun writing it and it is now available on the Internet at any bookstore (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.) on the web. My pen name is T Forrest Riggs.
My son and I are on the hunt for a boat. I wanted a funky boat with a fly bridge and just take it easy meandering along on the waves, however, my son has convinced me that a power cruiser would be more practical in the way of uses. It's not hard to convince the old man so now we're looking something a little more sporty. He thinks I should look the part and shave off my curmudgeonly looking beard and even cut my hair! YIKES! It reminds of the Crosby, Stills, & Nash's song,
I Almost Cut My Hair
It happened just the other day
It's gettin kinda long
I coulda said it wasn't in my way
But I didn't and I wonder why
I feel like letting my freak flag fly
Cause I feel like I owe it to someone
:)
Feel free to call me at anytime at 206 992-1600
Bye for now.
Taigen

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
