Karen Holmes
1961-1962 Attended Olympic College
1962-1963 Lived and worked in Alexandria, Virginia
1963-1964 Histologic Training at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma
1964-1966 Worked as a Histologic Technition at both Harrison and Nountain View Hospital in Tacoma
1966 I married Douglas Dingle and moved to Oscoda, MI. Our daughter Amy Elizabeth was born in April, 1970. I divorce in 1972 and moved back to Gig Harbor when Amy was 2 years old. In 1977 I married Robert Aleman and we lived in Port Orchard until he graduated "Medex" at the U of W. He graduated a "Certified Physcian's Assistant and worked in Port Orchard until 1980. We then moved to Walla Walla where he did Migrant Medicine and worked at the Community Health Clinic. In 1988 we moved back to Bremerton where my husband worked in Famity Practice in Silverdale for 13 years and retiring in 2003.
I worked in several retail stores until my mother became ill with cancer in January of 1993. I took care of her her at home until she died in March, 1993. What special memories we made!!! What a privilege.
When Bob retired we did some traveling, to Montana to visit my sister Kit; to Florida to visit our daughter and then to New Mexico, Arizona, California, etc
We have 10 step grandchildren and my three grandchildren Amanda (16) Mairin (14) and Sullivan (9). Their daddy Shawn Mitchell is a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.
In April 2009, Bob died of Kidney Cancer which he had fought for 9 years. We had been married for 32 years and together for 35. We had a great time!!
