This was the job God had planned for me! From inspecting the nations coal mines for Health and Safety issues; to serving nationally as the principal person on Safety at construction sites on mine property; to investigating the causes of many mine disasters (explosions, fires, roof falls, etc.); to formulating policy and regulations designed to save miners lives … I can’t help but feel that me and my coworkers efforts did allow an untold number of the nation’s miners to return home alive at the end of the day. An exciting and gratifying career! In 1974 Terry, the love of my life, and I married in a cave near Elkins WV. Our cave wedding began a togetherness that remains unbroken and now in retirement we enjoy our sons Jim & Bobby and daughter Cresta along with three grandkids, Sydney, Madison, and Caden. Most of our time and efforts revolve around our little family, Bethlehem United Methodist Church, and each other. I have an unabashed passion for the hobby of metal detecting especially searching for Civil War artifacts. In the hobby my nickname is “RelicBob” and I can be found in numerous trade magazines (articles) and on YouTube in various video adventures. Checkout “The Civil War Uncovered” and the “Dug Out” series.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
