Today's Featured Biography
Suzanne Click Lewis
After graduating from high school, I got a degree from Texas Tech in Clothing & Textiles, got married to David Barry Lewis from Lampasas, who was teaching art at Texas Tech, and then got a master's degree.
In 1972 we moved to Atlanta, Georgia. I taught fashion design in an art school and worked for several companies designing junior sportswear and jeanswear. David became a full time painter and showed at Image South gallery.
In 1979 we moved to New York City and pioneered the urban wilderness in a loft in Tribeca. I designed jeans for Wrangler and a few other companies and David continued his painting and did some art trucking. We did some traveling to Europe from there - Paris, Italy, London. Living in New York and traveling to Europe gave me a fantastic art education.
In 1988 we moved to San Francisco and I designed for Levi for 2 years and freelanced for another 2 years before moving to Los Angeles and designing for Outlaw Jeans and Tarrant Apparel Group (private label for all the major retailers)
In LA we bought a Spanish Revival home built in 1924 and located in the heart of LA. We have restored it and filled it with colorful furniture, rugs and art objects from our travels to Spain, Eqypt, Mexico, India and Morocco.
In 2001 I started my own line - SUZI CLICK Artisan Apparel & Accessories - bohemian, ethnic influenced feminine jackets, blouses, scarves, shawls, treasure bags - see it at www.suziclick.com. I sold at the Atelier trade show in New York to high end boutiques across the country - many in resort areas until 2008 and now sell only at retail shows directly to the customer
In 2007 I started my own jeanswear line - Two Girls Dancing - fashion stretch embellished denim for the baby boom customer which sold in Casual Living catalogue and fashion boutiques across the country until I closed it in 2014.
My mom, whom many of you remember as Mrs. Evelyn Click, the English teacher, now lives in Springvale, Maine with my sister, Carol who was a freshman when we were seniors. She was a junior high school guidance counselor there until retiring just last month. She has 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren and a wonderful husband. My dad, Dr. Carrol W. Click, who was director of pupil personnel services, lived close to them in a fulltime care center until he passed away in 2008.
I am happy about the upcoming 50th reunion which I will attend and look forward to seeing you all!!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
