Today's Featured Biography
Angie (Angela) Haas Fries
First of all...the last name is NOT pronounced how it looks! It is pronounced frees. However, everybody says fries so I'm used to it either way!
I took a little time off from school after high school. I worked as an apartment manager for a couple of years. I think the funniest thing was running into all the people that I had gone to school with that lived where I worked (you know who you are!). I started to college in 1996.
I've been with my husband, Troy, since then as well. He's a journeyman electrician at Citgo Refinery. He grew up in the Bluff too (class of '89) so settling down here just seemed right. Erica came along in 1998. She's now in kindergarten at Flour Bluff, and she's doing great! She's in her third year of twirling and her first year of soccer. Erin was born in 2002. She's got developmental delays (physical) and works with several therapists, but she's making tremendous progress! What she lacks in physical ability, she more than makes up for in personality!
With the kids, school's been delayed from time to time. I should graduate in 2005 from TAMUCC, and I hope to teach math at Flour Bluff. I'm grateful that for now I can be a stay-at-home mom, spend time with my family and friends, and finish my education too. I can't wait to see everybody at the reunion!
