Jerry Steinberg

I have been married to Diane Howard, a clinical social worker, since 1995.We were married on Peak 8 at Breckenridge Ski Resort. I have no children. After two engineering degrees from Vanderbilt, I received a Doctorate of Environmental Engineering from the Univ of Florida. I have worked in a mid-size environmental consulting firm for approximately 35 years mostly working on contamination cleanup in soil and groundwater. Fun things to do include water skiing on fresh water and snorkeling in salt water, and starting at about age 45, snow skiing at least a couple of times a year. Also, there has been lots of travel over the years with an emphasis on experiencing other cultures. I still play the drums, but only with a group at church, several times a year. In college I bought Tom Hailey’s old guitar and learned a few chords. Singing and playing simple, mostly country, songs has been fun for me and probably not so much for those around me. One thing that always amazes me is how the music of our era has endured and been popular with many “kids” who are much younger than we. I feel really lucky to have great friends, including some from Burton Elementary and Hillsboro High days.
