Today's Featured Biography
Cynthia Watson Russell
My mom got remarried in 1973, we moved to Hixson, so I went to RHS for summer school and gradutated. I am one of the many that is stuck in between '73 and '74. I remember Mr Carnes saying that we would be sorry. So far I have never regretted leaving early. I went to work that fall as a Veterinary Assistant, where I spent almost 2 years. In the meantime, I married Kent Russell, his family owns a steel and building products buisness in Chattanooga and Ringgold. We bought a house in Middle Valley, had three children one after the other. After five years we built a home in Ringgold. We thought three children was enough until we were suprised by number 4 in 1985, she got married in 2005 and had a new baby girl this year. She and her sister work with their dad at the Ringgold Plant. One son works in the food service industry and at the Ringgold Plant also. The other son is a career Army man. He is an Airbourn Ranger who is currently a Ranger Instructor. He and his family moved back to Georgia from Ft Lewis, Washington 2 years ago. He served one year in Iraq. We have 4 grandchildren Gavin 10, Christine 6, Kaitlyn 3, and Ansley 7 months.
Lately I have been giving new life to old furniture, and we are having a lot of remoldeling done to the house. I am an avid gardener and have several cats and 2 dogs that are more spoiled than most children.
I spend a lot of time in Hilton Head, SC, Atlanta, going on cruises, and raising my grandson Gavin. I had him for about 3 years, then he lived with my son and his current wife for 5 years. Now he is back with me. He is a really neat kid and lots of fun, but I am so tired. Geritol where are you? I posted a picture of us on Classmates.
I have not answered to Cyndy since leaving school. My family always called me either Cynthia or Cynthy.
