Today's Featured Biography

Hollis Cantrell

After graduation, I went to OSU and joined ROTC. I graduated and received my Commission in the US Army on the same day. In 1993 I moved to AZ for military training and ended up living in AZ until 1995. I moved back to Tulsa and worked at various places, earned my Masters Degree and married between 1995-2000. In 2003 I went Active Army and moved back to AZ. I lived in Scottsdale until 2005 when the Army moved me to Germany and eventually divorced. I traveled all over Europe. I was in London when they won the olympic bid and the following morning when they were bombed-talk about a public transportation nightmare! I celebrated birthdays in Poland, Italy and my 38th out on the town in Paris. Celebrated New Years in Germany, Sweden and Prague. I attended the Austrian Officers Ball in the Hofborg Palace. I took the party train to Munich for Oktoberfest and managed many more fests (beer and wine) during my stay. My mom and I walked the Colosseum and the Forum. Lost money at the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco. My last trip before returning to the states was Greece. Ummm, for all you tax payers who are feeling cheated right now, I did manage to uphold the Constitution during my tour of duty there. I just moved to DC to attend the National Defense Intelligence College for a year (to earn another Master's Degree). Gotta' love a job that pays you to go to school and live just off of King Street in Old Town Alexandria, VA! This is a place I never thought I would live - the Nation's Capital. It is an experience to sit on the lawns and watch a movie with lights of the Capital framing the screen. Life is GREAT! I have friends all over the world and hope to be stationed in Europe again before I decide to retire. If anyone heads to the NCR (National Capital Region) look me up! There is always something to do!
