I graduated in May of 2001 from Boston University with a degree in English literature and art history. (I know, I know: abundantly useful.) This was, as you can probably gather, after much soul-searching and changing my major six or seven times. =) I shipped off to Romania in June 2001, where I served for two years with the Peace Corps. After my service I came back home, tried to "find myself," and in the meantime worked as a newspaper for the local newspaper in Dansville. I moved to Washington, DC, in June 2005 to teach high school English in the D.C. Public School system. I recently earned my Master of Arts in Teaching degree from American University and am almost done with my Master of Arts degree in international peace and conflict resolution, also from American. Next spring, when I'm finished writing my thesis, I'll likely pack up and head off to parts unknown. (I get really bad wanderlust!)
