Today's Featured Biography
Randy Allenbaugh
Not sure who all may remember me, but I had attended GAHS until '76 when my family moved to Pennsylvania, to a very little town -population 96. 96! It was like living on the set of Hee-Haw or Children of the Corn! Talk about culture shock! Their extent of fun was chewing snuff and tipping cows!
I finished high school in Punxsutawney; the origins of Groundhogs Day. (What a claim to fame, huh?) All that time missing GAHS. My notable contribution at GAHS is, playing the part of Oliver Twist in the drama club. Still not sure how I ended up with that part. I just wanted to be one of the construction guys.
After graduation, I had enlisted in the Air Force for four years, during which time, my parents as a cruel joke moved back to Rochester!
Where did I end up?! Back in Pennsylvania, of all places, teaching the next generation how to tip cows! I've been married for 26 years with two step-daughters and one son. The girls (Stacy & Lisa) are married and our son (Steven) is attending his freshman year in college for a degree in movie making.
After the Air Force, I went to work for Gasbarre Products, which my latest position is managing the company's tooling divisions.
I am hoping to attend the 2009 reunion after many years.
