Today's Featured Biography
Annette Wescott
I have lived in the mountains of Colorado for 25 plus years. My husband and I have a "ranchette" where we keep busy with 9 horses, several miniature burros, 4 dogs, and 5 cats. We share our space with elk, bear, mountain lions, bob cats, just to name a few. My summers are spent horseback riding, irrigating our acreage, gardening, hiking and biking. My winters are spent skiing, both downhill and cross country, and snow shoeing. Chuck and I are also fortunate to be able to travel quite a bit throughout the year. Life is good on the ranch.
My step daughter, Katie, is currently living in Chicago, but will be relocating back to Colorado soon.
After nearly 30 years of teaching I retired in 2006. Now I substitue teach from time to time and am an independent consultant for Sopris West Publishing. This part time work involves traveling around the country conducting workshops (K-12). These workshops focus on teaching writing and reading strategies for teachers to share with their students. Sometimes the traveling is a drag, but the work itself is very rewarding.
