I was pretty much a delinquent hippy for most of the front half of the 90ís, finally moving away from everything and finishing college. I had some great experiences and have no regrets and I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.
While in the lovely Kearney, NE, I coached the local high school debate team on the side. I discovered that I was a much better teacher than I ever was a student and that life had determined that I should be punished for being the little jackass I was in highschool.
I also became serious about school, made some great friends and graduated as a teacher instead of a speech pathologist.
I taught and coached debate for 6 years in Omaha at Millard West HS and really enjoyed teaching with some very talented kids and we had a lot of competitive success.
I decided that it was time to move on and try a different experience after 2001 and Iím now been working at ConAgra in Omaha in various roles. While there is too much travel, it is a very good company to work for. We bought a house in Fremont in 03. I have a great wife who tolerates me and two boys that have taught me humility and happiness. Nothing has changed all that much since our 20th except the kids keep getting older.
Grant is now 11. He's crazy smart and studious and would rather read than anything else.
Zach - our redhead - is 8 and embodies the "other side" of my personality. He's got a big laugh, and can be pretty wild and very social. We'll be watching this one much closer.
