Today's Featured Biography
Joy GRAVES Ausdemore
For our 10th year reunion, Joy wrote - Joy and Larry (Ribble) have two children, Dale Jay, 4 years and Heather Marie, 18 months. Joy is a housewife and Larry is a teacher and coach. They are planning on moving this summer to Hastings where Larry will be working next school year.
In 1985 Joy wrote "Joy's husband is Larry. They have three children; Dale – 14 years, Heather and Amber - 11 months. Both Larry and Joy are teachers. We see a lot of basketball at our house, with Larry coaching it and Dale & Heather playing it. (Maybe that's why Mother Nature has provided me with extra padding through the years (to sit on the bleachers!)
I have temporarily retired from teaching to stay home with our baby girl. I plan to do babysitting in our home to help out with finances until Amber starts school (the same year Dale will start college)
My best memories of high school were the times spent with friends, sports events, music activities (band & operettas), church functions, getting together at the "Brown Bison" and hunting for haunted house at Halloween.
In 2005 Joy writes - My family moved to Beatrice, NE following my graduation from CCHS and I got a waitressing job to earn some money for college. I went to Doane College in Crete, NE, married Larry Ribble the following August. We lived in nearby Dorchester where he coached & taught and I finished the three remaining years of college. We then moved to Pawnee City, NE for Larry's next job and I had my first math teaching job in nearby Table Rock. Our children, Dale and Heather were born in Pawnee City; then a move to Falls City, and on to Hastings, NE before we really "settled in" to live in Millard (suburb of Omaha) for 25 years. Shortly after our move to Millard I lost a full-term baby girl, and went back to full-time teaching. Our youngest daughter, Amber, was born in 1984; I did daycare for teachers' kids for 5 years, then went "back to school" with the rest of the family! (Dale started college the year Amber started Kindergarten!) Larry left us in '97, we divorced in '98 and I tried to adjust to being a single working mom. Then the good Lord brought a wonderful Christian man (Dale Ausdemore) into my life (we met at an Omaha Christian Singles dance) and we were married in Nov. of 2000. We lived in Millard until Amber graduated from HS, then sold Dale's home in C.B. & my home, to put money down for an acreage outside of Council Bluffs, IA that had a reception hall on it. Dale is a photographer and has his studio in our home, along with a bed & breakfast in our upstairs rooms. I have done substitute teaching in the CB area for the past 2 years and hope to find a full-time teaching job soon. Life is good and full! Together we have 7 children, 4 grandchildren and 2 on the way. We thank God for good health to walk a "country mile" every night and the blessing of living in this amazing time & place
2008.....more to come since Jerry has shown me how to update.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
