My dad was Air Force and we moved around a lot. I became an astronomer and moved around a lot. After BHS, I went to LSU (72-75) [Geaux Tigers!], then to Caltech for graduate school (75-81). Reconnected with Rich Mintz at Caltech. From there, I spent time in Ann Arbor Michigan, then Arlington Virgina, and finally settled down in Maryland -- 23 years in Baltimore, and now in Columbia (since 2008). I worked 10 years working with NASA on the Hubble Telescope project, then 8 years at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center as a manager in the space science data center. I left NASA in 2003 and have been at George Mason University ever since. I became full professor of Astrophysics & Computational Sciences in 2011. I met my wonderful wife Colleen while at LSU [I was smitten!], got married in '76, adopted twin daughters in '84, and we are now about to become grandparents for the first time in 2012. I cannot believe that it has been 40 years since graduating from BHS. Seriously?? 40 years?? Wow!! I will miss the reunion :( so feel free to contact me ... especially you guys in the Balto-Wash area!!
