With great sadness I want to inform you that we lost two classmates this past week. Bernice Nobles and Renee Duffie. We as a class would like to request donations to do something special for Bernice and Renee's families. We are requesting that you make your donation by noon, Thursday, April 27, 2017, so we can present our gifts to the families this weekend.

Today's Featured Biography
Braggnetta Short Reid
After graduation I attended North Carolina Central University where my grandfather was the president of the first graduating class in 1929. I graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Unfortunately my grandfather passed in 1985 so he could not be there but I know he was smiling down on me.
After college I did bookkeeping for Kinko's for about a year before moving on to the American Social Heath Association (ASHA) were I started my career in Accounting. After working at ASHA for 5 years, in accounts payable I then moved on to Sapiens. Small note, my God Daughter was born on the day I had my interview at Sapiens so I always say she brought me luck. I don't have any kids of my own but my god daughter Jasmin and her brother Ben bring me so much JOY.
I worked at Sapiens for 6 years. While there I was exposed to a variety of accounting task for USA and Canada. In addition during my time at Sapiens I did quite a bit of traveling...Sweden, Bahamas, Jamaica, Hawaii, Northern and Southern California, Texas and my first trip to Vegas. Not to mention my family’s trip to Omaha, NE every other year for Thanksgiving.
My mom was transfered to the RTP area when Burroughs Wellcome merged with Glaxo. So we lived together while she was in this area. My grandmother also lived with us until she passed in 2000.
My mom recently retired from GSK and moved back home to Greenville. This is when I purchased my first home, a 2 story - 3BR townhouse in Durham, on Sugar Tree Place and how SWEET it is!! In addition I recently started a new employment opportunity with Pulte Homes ~ Raleigh Team and I love that as well. God has truly blessed me and I am enjoying life.
I am looking forward to seeing each of you and much Kudos to the committee putting our reunion together I KNOW what a task you have and you are doing a wonderful job...hang in there it is worth it and much appreciated!!!
