Hi everyone, When I first got out in the real world. I was in customer service. Every contest I was in, I won. I know how to give customer service, and I love it.
I went to work for my Dad, Pius Ehli, working as office manager at Little Nevada Casino. He owned the first casino in Billings. Oh, how I loved that job. I only worked when when my children were in school. I did take a lot of work home with me. I did all of the bookkeeping.
When my Dad sold Little Nevada, I became his bookkeeper for Big B Bingo. One day I was working, early morning and my Dad came into the building. He said to me, "Do you want a cup of coffee?' I said, "ok.". Then he said, "Let me get it for you." Yikes, I knew something was up. He went on to say, that I had done a good job and he wanted to build a casino for me. What? Long story short, my husband, Jim and I opened, "Kings Korner Casino" a year later. Yes, I was boss! Little shy me. I was a darn good boss and owner. I loved kicking out the guys that were causing problems. I went up to them, putting my hand behind their upper arm and invited them to leave, walking them to the door. I loved doing this. I loved teaching customer service.
I had MS before we opened the casino. During the 13 years we had the casino, I was doing pretty much okay, health wise. After 13 years it was harder for me to get around. Jim and I decided to sell the casino, in which we did.
We were in retirement for 3 weeks. My husband just did not know what to do with his time. We then bought a mobile home park in Shepherd, MT. Only 8 minutes from our home. We still own that as of today.
I did died for 14 hours, December 9, I don't remember what year. It was while we still owned the casino. On my medical chart it does say, "DEATH". This is a long story for another time.
Jim and I have two wonderful children. Which was my dream. We have a daughter, Sarah, and a son, Ben. A daughter-in-law, Teri, and a very wonderful Grandson, 14 months old, his name is Sebastian Logan Dorman. He is a very large blessing from God as my children and husband are also.
Now days I love making quilts. I am going to start a class in a couple of weeks on how to quilt. Right now, I make the tops and someone else quilts them for me. Soon I will be also to create the entire quilt. Very exciting for me.
My Mom, Dad, and Sister, Mary have died. My life sure has changed since they are no longer on this earth. Missing them every day.
My life does include GOD. HE is with me every second of my life. Without HIM, I am sure that I would have already died.
I thank God for each and every one on you. Some how you all have help mold me into who I am today. Thank you. May God continue to bless each one of you.
