Today's Featured Biography
Eleanor Key Robinson
I married my high school sweetheart (Calhoun, Allan B. Robinson) a couple of months after graduation. We will soon celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! We stayed in Laurel a few months, and then moved up above Jackson, MS (Flora) for Allan’s training. I worked for Magnavox Corporation while we were there. We moved back to Laurel in 1969, just before the birth of our daughter, Betty. We stayed in Laurel until 1973, and then moved to a little farm in Southwest Jones County where we have remained. We had a son, Glenn, in 1975. I worked off and on, mostly on until I retired along with Allan. Along the way, I took a few courses, mostly computer, which I love. I do love technology! We have never lived in any exotic places, but we have vacationed in a few including Mexico, Belize, and Bermuda. I have been fortunate enough to go on some missionary trips, taught Sunday school, was our church secretary, helped in VBS (finally this past summer). Our children got to enjoy country life with horses, cows, ducks, rabbits, and most any pet they wanted. Our daughter, Betty, married Robbie Dearmon and they have two beautiful children: Elena-Beth (12) and Benjamin (5). They live in Laurel and Betty is head of the math department at what is now called “Laurel High”. She has been teaching there over 20 years. Glenn lives near us and has a son, Andrew (18) who will graduate with honors this spring. Glenn does contract work, mostly oilfield. He is a welder and a machinist and is very talented. Allan and I really enjoy retirement. God has been so good to us in so many ways. We enjoy vintage (Triumph) motorcycle rallies a couple of times a year (Allan tinkers with his vast collection); we follow our granddaughter around to different cities to see her compete with her gymnastic/cheerleading squad. I still love to swim when weather permits, especially with my grandchildren. I love vintage china, especially English, and have a little collection, also some antique furniture (which I swore early in my life, I would never like! ) I meet monthly with a group of ladies at Jitters in Laurel for laughs, games and fun.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
