Today's Featured Biography
Ronnie Williams, Jr.
I moved away from the Raytown area two weeks after graduation to Washington D.C. where I attended Howard University. I studied Communications Arts (mostly partied) and played baseball. During school I also worked for the Government being a computer technical assistant.
After leaving school I moved to Los Angeles to spread my wings. I worked some odd clerical jobs before landing a gig at the L.A. Fox TV affiliate as a Production coordinator. For a brief time Pierre Burris (fellow 88'er) moved out to L.A., and we lived together for a short time. Needless to say we enjoyed living in a BIG city (maybe a bit too much), before Pierre moved back to the K.C. area.
Eventually, I left FOX for a job with a division of Kodak that created visual effects for feature films. I lived in L.A. for 10 years, and now live in the San Francisco Bay area working for George Lucas' Industrial Light & Magic. I have credits on films like Terminator 3, the new Star Wars trilogy, and recently completed work on Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - World's End & Transformers.
I have been with my wife Michele for over 15 years (married for 8), she is a California native. We have two wonderful boys who keep us very busy. Miles is almost 6, and Roman is 2 1/2. My Parents, and older sister still live in the Washington D.C. area, so we try to visit at least once a year.
Although I haven't been back to Raytown since the 10 year reunion I still keep in touch with Pierre, and Vernon Rice, who keep me posted on other friends, and classmates. Unfortunately I have lost touch with countless other friends from school, but I hope to see you all at the next Reunion.
