Today's Featured Biography
Renee Franke Murphy
I went to MU after high school, came back home after a year. Mom had moved to Blue Springs. I finished college locally. Started my career as as dedicated Mammography Technologist. Had a beautiful baby girl in 1991, decided to marry her father a few years later. Gained 2 wonderful step-children from this marriage, Andria and Eric. Stayed married until 2004. Met a great guy immediately after my marriage fell apart. Wasn't sure this would last he is 13 years younger than me. But, I fell in love. We bought a home together in Blue Springs April 2005. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer May 2005. The next 9 months were a blur of surgeries, Dr. appointments, chemotherapy, losing all of my hair (bald is not such a great look for me), reconstruction, hair grew back (Yeah!) My Daughter Britany, my Mom,my wonderful new guy Mike, and my family really were a great support system. Mike and I are getting married Sept. 12, 2008, I have found my true love. My daughter Britany is a cheerleader for Blue Springs South, and hopes to cheer in college. She is so much more outgoing than I was. She has brought me out of my shell and brought me so much happiness. Life is Good, I live each day to the fullest, and Thank God for my many blessings.
