Mitzi Dahl Miyamoto

I got married at nineteen to Bud Miyamoto. I was first called to be a wife and mother. When the boys were older I became the Christian Ed/Youth Director at our church in La Crosse, WI for eight years. I graduated from UW/L in Sociology and Art. When our youngest was in high school I returned to graduate school at Wartburg Theological Seminary for four years and was ordained as a Lutheran Pastor in the ELCA in 1997. My first call was at Our Savior's in West Salem, WI. I have been serving Coon Valley Lutheran Church for twelve years. Our son, Kenny, is married to Amy and they have two sons, Jack and Tyler. They live in Belleville, WI. Our oldest son, Chad, is single and works and lives in Mpls. Bud retired five years ago. He golfs, sings in the choir, and keeps our household running so that I can continue in parish ministry. We have been blessed with relatively good health. Our favorite roles are as "Gaga" and "Papa" to our eleven and seven year-old grandsons.
