Janis Barnes Annis

After high school went to the U of MN for one year and decided it wasn’t for me. Moved to California – like the song said ‘California Dreaming”. Moved back to Minnesota and met my husband in 1971. We were married in 1972. We lived mostly in ‘Nordeast’ as he graduated from Columbia Heights. After just about giving up hope on children, our son Scott was born in 1983. He was a blessing from GOD. John passed away in April of 2009. Scott is the manager of a major transportation location.
Career focused mostly on Executive Administrative Support, working for a non-profit company and a family owned manufacturing company. Worked for SUPERVALU until 2010 at which time started major department layoffs. Decided to retire and enjoy life.
I have always had an interest in photography. August 2009 Scott and I got the privilege of traveling to Alaska. We spent two weeks starting in Fairbanks and going down to Anchorage, Homer and Seward. He is also into photography and we both got some amazing pictures. I also like reading, Facebook, puzzles.
I currently volunteer at a local hospital. I would like to reconnect with a few I hung out with in high school, but they have seemed to disappeared. So hopefully, you will see this and know who you are and contact me.
