*WE WILL MEET AT ENTRANCE "C" TO THE BUILDING. USE THE NORTH PARKING LOT. FOLLOW THE DRIVEWAY AROUND TO BLEACHERS WHERE WE WILL MEET OUR GUIIDES.

There will be a DJ for entertainment throughout the event.

We have also reserved a tent at PARTY ON MCCARTY on Thursday, July 24, 2025. (Rain or shine!) Gates open at 5pm; music begins at 5:30pm. There is a $5 charge for parking and a $2 admission fee. Come join us. Meet old friends and make some new ones!

We are also planning a tour of the school on Friday morning, beginning at 10 a.m. We will meet at the school. Use the North parking lot; follow the drive around to the bleachers where we will meet our guide(s).

I have just completed 26 years of teaching full time and will retire in 2024. I teach Senior English and Speech at Defiance Senior High School, have been department head for several years now, advise the Homecoming and Prom Committees, Mentor new teachers, am a member of Faculty Council and six evenings each month teach driver education classes.
I am fortunate to have been married to Rich for 39 years (as of this June 27th) whom I met at The Green Spot Pub in Mt. Pleasant while attending Central Michigan University. He is why I live in Ohio. Our son Matthew is 37, single with no children, a BA in Business who manages Jersey's Sports Bar and Grill in Defiance. Our daughter Jennifer and her husband, Kevin Grimm have blessed us with David who is 3 and Rachel who was born on April 2nd in the midst of the pandemic. Jennifer and Kevin are both Doctors in Academics, and are employed at Old Dominion University (Norfolk, Virginia) and Regent University (Virginia Beach) respectively.
When retirement rolls around, and God willing, we will be relocating to Norfolk/Virginia Beach to enjoy being grandparents. Family, Friends, Faith: that really is what life is all about, isn't it?
