Event Announcement!
Attention RO Kimball Class of ‘65
We’ve heard that the third time is a charm. We’re hoping that’s the case with our rescheduled, rescheduled 55th (now 57th) Class Reunion.
SAVE THE DATE - Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the American Polish Cultural Center in Troy, Michigan. Details (like cost - we’re trying to keep it minimal) are in the works. It will be a family style dinner, cash bar with a DJ.
Friday, September 30th - An optional Meet ‘n Greet will be at the RO Historical Museum the night before.
Please take a moment to respond through FB Messenger or through our class email account ([email protected]) to give us an idea if you are interested in attending. Pass this information on to those you know who are not on social media. It would be very helpful if you could confirm your Email address for when we send out more information and invitations. We thank you for your help.
Look forward to seeing you in the Fall.

I grew up in Royal Oak, went to Starr Elementary and Jane Addams Jr High.
After Graduating in 1965, I worked at Federal's Dept Store in Clawson for 2 years, then was hired at Great Scott at Webster Rd and worked there from 1967 to 1979. then I began working for the US Postal Service, where I am still employed. I worked at the Highland Michigan PO for 14 years then transferred to Lutz Florida in 1993. Have been living in Lutz and working in Lutz since then. I Retired from USPS after a 37 years career in April 2016...and love not having to work anymore!
In 1965 I married Marc Grudzen (class of Kimball HS 1964). We vacationed in Hawaii several times beginning in 1978. The Postal Service cancelled my vacation (to Hawaii) in 1984, and that is when Marc and I started to travel to Florida. We bought Property in Lutz in 1984, and vacationed there until Marc was ready to retire from the City Of Southfield Fire Dept, That is when I started looking for a Post Office to transfer to. A vacancy opened at Lutz, which is about 3 miles from my home, so that could not have been better. Made the transfer in August of 1993. worked my way up from the bottom of the seniority list to the top of the list in 2009. I have 36 years of seniority with the USPS. I would love to retire, but my husband just passed away in April of 2015, so I am going to see how things work out financially before I do that. After 39 years of marriage, I am feeling very alone right now,and missing Marc very much.
I do plan on coming to the reunion and renewing old friendships and becoming better friends with some of the people who are Facebook Friends. I have already purchased my air ticket. I look forward to having a great time at the party...see you soon.
PS...I saw after reading thru my bio that I forgot to mention that I attended Wayne State University for 2 years before dropping out. It was just after the Detroit Riots in 1967, and the class I needed to attend for my major, was only offered after 4 PM. I rode the bus down and back home, and I told my counselor that I would not be doing that at night. the only other alternative was to travel to Michigan State ...duh...I don't think they had a bus to there did they??

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
