60 Year Reunion Announcement!
PHS Class of 1965 60th Year Reunion

Petoskey, Michigan - Northern LIghts Recreation Private Room and at 7pm PHS Football Game against Escanba. Saturday September 13th we plan to have a picnic in the afternoon at one of the waterfront parks in Petoskey.

After high school I went to Michigan State University and earned a degree in elementary education. The summer after graduation I married Andy Balderson and moved with him to Maryland. There we raised our 3 children. When our 2nd daughter was born deaf, I went back to school to earn a degree in deaf education. I worked in our local public school system in the deaf education program for 30 years, retiring in 2009.
We always loved visiting Petoskey in the summers. When my aunt passed away in the 1990s, we were able to purchase her log cabin in Charlevoix. Because I worked in the schools and had summers off, I started spending more and more time at our cabin. Since retiring I now am lucky to spend almost all summer there.
We currently live on 20 acres, where we have a tree nursery; Andy is a landscape architect and is semi-retired. Two of our children are married, and we have 5 grandchildren. All three of our children and their families live in Maryland.
I enjoy genealogy and have created a notebook for each of my 4 grandparents’ lines with information, photos, and stories going back 5 generations. I am now working on my husband’s family history.
