Today's Featured Biography
Dale Johnson
Well, here it is forty-seven years later and what have I accomplished in those forty-seven years? After graduation, I joined the Air Force and spent time in Texas, California, North Dakota, Georgia and a small amount of time in Germany. When I left the military, I stayed in Georgia for three years, living in Macon and Atlanta. In 1984, I moved to central Florida and have stayed in this area since. I have worked mainly in the grocery industry since leaving the military, with a five-year hiatus in the construction industry. Currently, I am retired from Publix Supermarkets after 27 years. I worked in most of the departments, and I retired as a meat manager at store 1269 in Mount Dora Florida. Our goal is to travel the country and visit as many countries as we can on our bucket list.
I have a wonderful life partner whom I have shared the last twenty-eight years of my life with. He is a general contractor/real estate agent, and we have enjoyed investing in property here in the central Florida area. We have done some traveling and currently have two Golden Retrievers, Nymeria, and Stella and our oldest one a yellow lab mix who we rescued in August of 2010, is Harley. We volunteer at a no kill rescue shelter and are probably going to rescue Golden's in the future. I have been fortunate in my life to have survived cancer four times now. Going through this not once but four times, has taught me just how precious life truly is. I stay in touch with Paul Doucette in Hawaii, and thanks to Facebook, Holly, Sharon, Krista, and Sue, Darlene, Donna, Lisa and many more thanks to a group of us that get together when we go to Maine to visit. I've also been able to re connect with a couple of other classmates because of this web site, which has been awesome.
It has been great seeing what other classmates have been up to and are looking forward to the 50th reunion in a few years. Good luck to all.
