Jean Smith Andrews

How does one sum up her life in 30 minutes? Well here goes. Jimmie and I married and moved to Delaware in 1966. Divorced in 1981, but good friends, we are proud of our two wonderful children; Derek a graphic designer now residing in Manhattan, NY and Letitia, a speech/language pathologist who lives in San Diego with her husband and my only grandson who turns two during his grandmom and dad's birth month. I'm thrilled to have them stateside although I loved my trips to Italy. I completed my BS from the Univ. of Delaware then obtained my MA from Norwich University. I was an academic advisor for the Univ of DE and HR rep for Chemical Bank before returning to Maryland. In 1988 I landed an HR position in Gaithersburg. After the company downsized, I held several positions at PIC in PG County, worked on several contracts at NASA, DC DOES, and managed my own consulting business before moving to Charlotte. Fondest memories/achievements, friendships at FHHS(still my golden friends); raising my children, being published while in Delaware, writing a play for the U of D, managing a high school drop out program which graduated over 50 students with their GED and counseling college students. I moved to Charlotte in Aug 06' with my cat, Jasmine, for a better quality of life, weather and lower housing cost. I've made a number of friends and found my husband through Blackpeoplemeet. com. in 2007. William, is from Bakersfield, California and we were married on January 12, 2009. We are both retired so enjoy our days; him playing the harmonica or keyboard and me writing children's books. We both volunteer at a nursing home, utilize the "Y" facilities and are in search of a church that meet's both our needs. Life is great! Wishing you all well.
