Kyle Cravens

Four years after graduation from CCHS, I graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business with an area in accounting. I took a job in Hopkinsville with York, Neel and Company, the second largest CPA firm in Kentucky. Shortly thereafter, I received my certification as a CPA. I lived in Princeton during this time and became very active with First Baptist, working with middle school students. I stayed at York, Neel as a CPA for 10 years. For five of those summers, I worked on staff with Centrifuge and M-Fuge, youth camps sponsored by Lifeway Christian Resources. I served in Jackson, TN, Pass Christian, MS, Mobile, AL and Southern California. Four of the five summers I was the camp director. God changed my life through my experiences with Fuge. In the spring of 2000, I was offered a partnership with my firm but turned it down for an offer to go to work as the financial analyst for Fuge at Lifeway. At the same time, I proposed to Danette Gray from Princeton after three years of dating. We married in August of 2000 and moved to Nashville. I stayed in the financial role until October of 2002 when I moved into a Centrifuge coordinator role. Just this past summer, we had over 85,000 students attending 30 camps nationwide and internationally. We hire over 600 staff, and I serve on the interview team. I coordinate three teams each summer. My responsibilities are numerous. I also write youth curriculum for Lifeway including Sunday school material, discipleship material, and devotional material. This was a dream of mine for many years. Danette is a pre-school special education teacher. She also worked five summers of camp. On September 26, 2003, we welcomed Colin Gray Cravens into the world and into our family. He is truly a blessing. He is very spirited and energetic and looks to be a promising athlete. He loves basketball, baseball, soccer ball, etc. For those who remember me, this will be funny (no athletic ability here).God has truly blessed my life beyond anything that I could have ever imagined. From the time I received Christ into my life, He has worked and played an active role in who I am today. For those of you who have not made a decision to accept Him as Lord and Savior of your life, I encourage you to do so. He has an abundant life waiting for you.
