Lareina Dale Saindon
I have been married for 20 years this coming year (May 2010). I have 2 step-children that I raised, so I don't consider them step anything. They are grown and living on their own now. I have 2 biological children as well that live at home. They are in 8th grade and 5th grade (as of 2009-2010 school year). I live just outside of Derby near McConnell AFB on 5 acres. I enjoy my 4 horses and 6 dogs, along with the one lone cat. My husband restores classic Ford/Mercury cars/trucks as a hobby and is quite good at it! He is very talented! He also just started taking guitar lessons. He is part owner of a sign company, as well. I also enjoy the sport of shooting. I shoot in two different types of matches per month. One is a .22 match that includes 3 different types of guns and then the other is Cowboy Action Shooting that requires costuming and 4 different guns, 2 single action revolvers worn in holsters, a rifle, and a shotgun. It is quite fun. I am not very good at it, yet, but I really enjoy it. I also just started making jewelry and hope to make it into a business. My husband is also into sports, he plays softball and golfs, is an avid football/basketball watcher, and likes to watch our two youngest play soccer and baseball.
In July of 2006 I injured my back at work and had to have back surgery in December of 2006. It failed, so I have some pretty serious pain issues I am dealing with on a daily basis related to that. I can no longer ride my horses, or do a lot of the things I use to do, but I am trying to deal with it the best I can.
I haven't kept in touch with too many from high school. I moved to Western Kansas for about 4-5 years after school and kind of lost everyone during that time. I did find Mary (1989), Christina, and Danielle and have kept in touch with them. After reunion in 2008, I found several other great friends, including Robert, Tommy, Tiffany (from West), Lisa, Leilonnie, Brenda, Chris, Christa, Cory, Darren, Facebook is awesome! Great way to find people you lost touch with years ago!
The 20th reunion was a blast! Thank you ladies for doing such a wonderful job organizing it. I was all set for the 10th reunion and my dad had a heart attack the night before. He turned out to be fine, thank God, but obviously I missed the festivities that weekend!
